Job Description
The Administrative Assistant is the central hub of communication and organization within our performing arts academy. This role oversees day-to-day administrative operations, ensuring smooth communication between staff, parents, and students.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage front office operations, including answering phones, responding to voice mail, emails, taking messages, teacher calendar, student calendar and overseeing daily administrative tasks.
- Track student check in/out, student registrations and maintain accurate customer records, and communication logs.
- Create and distribute a monthly newsletter covering academy classes, events, showcases, performances and serve as the primary liaison for parent and student communication.
- Develop clear and efficient office procedures to ensure up-to-date information is available for students, parents, teachers and administrators.
- Act as a bridge between administrative staff and all academy departments to ensure alignment, timely communication, and smooth coordination of shared needs and schedules.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- AS or BA/BFA in Performing Arts, Education, Business Management or Equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in customer service
Preferred
- Customer service and office management
- Education experience in a K-12 environment
- Performing arts experience

Schedule:
Monday: 3:15pm to 6:45pm
Tuesday: 3:15pm to 6pm
Wednesday: 3:30pm to 6:45pm
Thursday: 3:30pm to 6:45pm
Saturday: 9:45am to 11:45am
Total: 14.75 hours per week
