Forever Plaid Audition Notice

The Ruth and Nathan Hale Theater is pleased to announce auditions for their upcoming production of Forever Plaid. All roles are open and will be paid. This page will be updated when callback invitations and casting have been sent.
On their way to the biggest gig of their careers, four hopeful singers' lives are cut short by a sudden bus crash—only to return from the afterlife for one last shot at the spotlight. Bursting with 1950s classics, sharp suits, and heartfelt hilarity, Forever Plaid is a nostalgic, laugh-filled celebration of second chances.
The initial audition for Forever Plaid will be held only by video submission.
Vocal Submission
For the initial video submissions, please slate your name in a full-body shot, then in a waist-up or shoulders-up shot, present a 90-second song cut in the style of the show (not necessarily from the show), portraying the character that best fits you. See Character Breakdown below. All characters sing lead vocals and harmony vocals throughout the show. The ability to sing and hold harmonies is required for this show and will be tested at callbacks. Movement and acting abilities will also be tested at callbacks. YouTube links and non-secured Google Drive links are the easiest. Many people will be watching your audition video and open links make it the simplest for everyone to access.
Audition Form
Once you’ve recorded your vocal submission, please complete the audition form—including a link to your recording—by 11:59 PM on Monday, July 28, 2025, to be considered for callbacks.
