Adult Acting Lab

The Acting lab is a perfect opportunity for you to brush up your audition skills, deepen your understanding of acting, or work on a speciality skill. This four week class changes focus every month, and features a rotating roster of teachers who are also practitioners in the theater community. Some of our past courses have included Improvisation, Shakespeare, Acting for Film, Speech and Dialects, Clown, Acting Basics, and Auditioning.

February - Acting with Archetypes with Morgan Gunter

In this approach, we will explore new ways of feeling, moving, and experiencing as we incorporate key archetypes into our acting. These include figures like the Spiritual and Temporal Leader, The Trickster, The Huntress, The Devil, The Lover, and many more. Join us to discover new ways to tap into different sides of yourself through these archetypes, and use them to enrich your character development.

March - Acting for Film with Scout Smith

So you want to be in the movies? Join our guest teacher, Scout Smith, in the Acting Lab to learn all about making it on the big screen. Learn how to submit for films and commercials, understand the process of getting an agent and discover the differences between on camera acting vs stage acting. You’ll also get an overview of what you can expect on a tv/film set and learn all the industry jargon you’ll need to fit right in. Everyone will have a chance to perform short pieces on camera and get feedback from our experienced instructor and invited guests. Space is limited, so sign up today!

Dance for Musical Theater

This class is designed to build essential skills for aspiring musical theater performers. Students will focus on mastering technique, enhancing body awareness, and exploring dance styles commonly featured in musical theater, including Broadway, Disney, and cruise ship performances. Through engaging lessons, students will gain confidence in their dance abilities and feel more at ease during dance auditions. The class also emphasizes learning and reviewing terminology to help students quickly pick up choreography. Dance is a cornerstone of musical theater, and this course equips every performer with the tools to excel—whether aiming to secure roles in local productions or to continue training for a professional career.

Vocal Ensemble

Learn to sing your favorite songs from Musical Theater! In this group class you will learn the fundamentals of singing including: vocal parts, harmonies, reading music, matching tempo, expression and emotion. If you’ve ever wanted the chance to sing your favorite songs with a choir, this is your opportunity to dive deep and focus on building your vocal instrument!
